MIXED STUFF (Pasta Sauce) 1 ½ cups smoked salmon or imitation crab 3 Tbsp. Each olive oil and butter ¾ cup chopped onion 2 cloves minced garlic 1 pound canned green beans, drained 6 large mushroom, diced ¼ tsp. Tabasco sauce 4 tbsp. Sweet basil 2 shots of Yukon Jack whiskey 1 pound fettuccine or linguine ½ cup salted sunflower seed kernels
Heat oil & butter over medium low heat in skillet. Sauté onion, garlic, beans & mushroom until onion is tender. About 2 minutes. Add Tabasco and sunflower kernels, sauté for 2 more minutes. Add sweet basil and stir. Shred the crab or salmon, do not chop. Remove all bones. Add to mixture and again mix to heat evenly. Pour on Yukon Jack and simmer for 8 minutes. No sampling the jug. Stir again before serving. Serve over hot pasta and top with Parmesan cheese. |
